I am getting mail from what they say is Microsoft... but
all of them have something attached and it is telling me
to download these attachments... the last one is
patch92.exe.... there have been several over the last few
days. I don't remember subscribing to anything like
this.. any comments?

Hi....
DONT INSTAL ...I get these too. they all contain viruses.
They are NOT from microsoft.

If you have installed any run a virus checker ...or buy a
virus checker if you have not got one.

good luck

It's good that you asked instead of running the attachment. The
mail is *not* from Microsoft, and contains a virus. This has been
around for a while, but the latest incarnation of it has been
widespread for the past few days. Ignore and delete the messages.

Debbie, Me too, and only since I posted on Microsoft's
web site! These ALL contain viruses! My internet
provider scans and deletes the viruses and sends the
original email along with a note from them explaining
what they did and what virus it was. I'm getting over 20
a day! I think they are finding our email addresses from
these posted messages on Microsoft!
When I check the source of the messages they are all
coming from different places and when I've replied to
them, all have been bounced back to me as "unknown".
Check the source of your email before you open any
attachments or click on links to know who they are really
from.
I'm not including my email address here as I've had
enough! VR

Thanks to all of you that responded. I figured that was
the case. But to those of you that think it came from
posting onto this site... that shouldn't be the problem.
This is my first time here and obviously I'm getting the
mail. Oh well...

Have a great week!
