I wasn't sure where exactly to post this question. I
have a virus detected in one of my system restore folders
and I can't find any way to delete it. My virus
software, AVG, keeps giving me a message that it's there
and to run the scanner, but it never finds anything.
Having this message box pop up constantly is extremely
annoying. I don't mind losing the restore points, but I
can find no way to delete them. I can't browse to the
folder (for obvious reasons - I understand why) and I
can't find anything by searching.
Does anyone know how I can just get rid of the restore
points? I did read somewhere that it's impossible to
clean a virus from a restore folder but I can't seem to
find it again.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
