Virus here...?

My AV founded a virus in some message in this group (or, at least, in this
group dbx):

Generic.Botget.C7C6EB6C.Generic.Botget.ABF6C813

So, after initial quarantining, I had to delete this group dbx and
reconstruct it from scratch (download all). But... Isn't this strange?
All messages are scanned, right?

You asked this already in; microsoft.public.security.virus

What do you think you'll gain by posting it here as well ?

You have NO log showing what specific news post (subject and date) or any specific data.
This could also be a False Positive.

Please don't Multi-Post.
Please learn to Cross-Post to pertinent, On Topic, News Groups instead.

I'm usually not cross-dressing. But this time this issue related to both
groups, I thought.
Thanks anyway. For your tip in other group. I did learn something new from
you.

Silly Marek... Not Cross-Dressing, Cross-Posting ! :-)

Instead of creating two separate posts, you should have created ONE post and in the header
included BOTH News Group names separated by a comma ( , )

Ok, I was just kidding. And - now I know form you how to do it - cross...
whatever.
Thanks.
