I'm using Windows XP Professional. After downloading the McAffe VirusScan
software I'm told I have a virus located in file path WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
file wininet.dll and the virus name is W32/Alemod.f.dll. The VirusScan
progrm can't clean, quarentine or delete it. What do I do? It asks if it's
"right protected" but I don't see anything that tells me. Help

Run McCrappy in safe mode and see if can clean it then.

Perform the fast malware removal instructions in my web-site and this should
fix the problem.

I ran the free download and it found a number of issues which I had the
downloaded program quarentined for me. So far so good. That was on top of the
McAfee VirusScan which said it couldn't be quarentined. If it holds, THANKS.
If not, I'll be back.......
