A prggram called loader.exe has become infected with a
virus. The virus has destroyed the program and I have had
to quarantine it. (as far as I know this is a system
file).

Does anybody know the implications of the removal of this
file? I have been reluctant to shut the computer down
since.

Also, is my only recovery option to reinstall the
operating system? Can this file simply be copied from
another installation?

Thanks

Loader.exe is not a Windows file it is a part of Netware. Do you have that
installed on your system? The implication of removal is that you would have
to reinstall Netware in order to have an uninfected version of the file and
have Netware continue to run properly.
