I have recently decided to upgrade from Windows XP Home
to Professional. I have completed the installation and
when I start the computer I get a message that tells me
that my paging file size is too small and gives me
directions as to how to correct this. I have been to
control panel, system,advanced,performance settings,
advanced. Under virtual memory the total paging file size
for all drives shows as 0. I click change and with C: (my
only drive) highlighted it shows 384-768. The radio
button beside Custom size is selected and 384 shows
beside Inital size (MB) and 786 shows beside Maximum size
(MB). I have tried deleting these and reinserting them. I
get a message that says I will have to restart the
computer for these changes to take effect but when I
restart the Virtual memory is still showing as 0.
Thank you for your assistance.
