Sometimes when i am scanning my computer xp come with the message : not
enough virtual memory.

My question is what is the best way to solve this? At the moment that the
message comes there isn't that much running.
At least it doesn't look like it.

Thanx

set the pagefile/virtual memory
to a custom size of
min = 2 & max = 1152

this is a good starting size
that you can re adjust later....

What's wrong with setting it to let Windows manage it? With earlier
versions of Windows, it may have been advantageous to do this, but
with XP, Windows will handle it just fine.

sounds like a question for the
certified programming team at
microsoft could likely answer.

but in my opinion, it is
like all things, "windows" is not perfect
but it does a very "very" good job at
accomadating millions of different pc's
with different hardwares, softwares, languages, etc....., all over the world across
different time zones and intellectual dimensions.

so the microsoft programmers provided
the "custom setting" capability for those unique situations .......
