virtual memory too low warning

I'm a student and my school forced all students connecting to the school's
LAN install McAfee virus protection on their computer, but gave us very
little control over the program. Since I installed this program, I get
messages telling me to open the On-Access Scanner or something like that from
the Control Applet, but I can't find where it is I'm supposed to go to do
that. Anyways, these messages keep popping up until there's like 20 of them.
I've been playing the Sims 2 usually when this happens and I end up getting
the Virtual Memory Minimum is Too Low error message. Can someone point me in
the right direction so that I may continue playing my game in peace?

R.click ,y computer.properties,advanced,settings,advanced,virtual-memory,
click on the change button,L.click on C: drive or have it highlited, then set
to "let windows manage" from custom, click set 2X,close-out.Increasing
youre ram memory will increase virtual-memory,adding a 2nd hard drive as
a slave, then repeating this process just described increases virtual-memory.
As for the other mess, open event viewer for details, click on the url for any
event/warning,this opens help/support in xp,usually with a fix or answer.

The reply to your post from Andrew E. addresses your problem with virtual
memory, but not your question regarding McAfee. If you look down at your
task bar, near the clock at the bottom right of your screen, you should see
an icon for McAfee. I don't run McAfee so I'm not sure which way you can
access the scanner but I'll bet if you either left click to open or right
click to see a menu, you will see what you need. Didn't the school
administration give you any documentation for running McAfee? If not, call
somebody who will and insist that they do so. If you are going to be forced
to run a system hog like McAfee, they should at least furnish instructions.
