I currently have a partition that has an OS (XP) that I
want to run in VPC. How do I get the machine to see it as
a disk to boot from?

I am new to VPC so any help would be welcomed.

That's not really how Virtual PC works. What you need to do is install VPC
on your machine. Once you have installed the product, you then create a
"Virtual PC" within your main Operating system. You can't "port" your
exiting OS into a virtual PC. Virtual PC is great of "playing" with other
types of OSes or experimenting with a product or patch before you apply it
to you main computer. I personally use Virtual PC at home to play older DOS
based games that do not "play well" with Windows XP. Keep in mind that you
will need to obtain a license for whatever operating system you install
within the Virtual PC.

Good Luck
