i installed aol for vista im running vista home premiem it loaded viewpoint
media player and in the vista control panel theres an icon for the player
how can i remove the icon from the control panel

Tim

If you just want to remove the icon from the control panel and not uninstall
the program, first look for an option in the program that places the icon
there. If no option is available, look for a file in the programs folder or
in the \Windows\System32 folder that has a .cpl file extension.

i solved it viewpoint media play also installs viewpoint media manager if you
uninstall the manager the icon removes itself from the control panel just
dont remove the media player

Tim

Very good, glad you got the problem solved.
