Hi,

I have a hard drive taken from another PC attached as a slave to my
own computer. I need to be able to view the other PCs Registry. Both
computers have Windows XP installed.

Anyone happen to know how to do this without corrupting the registry
of my own PC?

Many thanks.

Try to attach/connect the HDD back to the case and use PartPe and edit the
registry from there.

Whether the OP views/edits the registry on a slave disk or via a Bart PE
boot CD comes to exactly the same thing - except that he must first
manufacture a Bart CD. This could take him a few hours.

True but if the OP doesn't have a Live System/CD he will need to create one!
In the case of Live System which The op does have best to follow John
Command prompt instructions which sound quick and fast.

The OP wrote that he's installed the disk as a slave disk in his own PC,
which can safely assume is live and kicking ;-)
