viewing attachment

I am running windows vista and is there a certain program that I need to
install to view attachments that were email to me from outlook express 6

It would help if you told us what type of attachment.
There's no such thing as a generic attachment.
You either need the program that generated the attachment installed
on your computer, or else you will have to install a specific viewer
for each type of attachment you want to open.
