Sure. You can change the "Zoom" setting to something like 50 - 70% and it
should size down to show both pages. This is, obviously, based on your
Display Settings and might need to be set lower.

Thank you! In fact, once you prompted me go there with
my eyes open it turned out that there was an option right
there to "view 2 pages"

Click View> Print Layout, then choose either of these as
your next step:

a) In the Standard toolbar look for the dropdown that
shows the zoom percent. In this list, select "two pages".

OR

b) Click View> Zoom, then click the icon next to "many
pages". Click the middle icon in the top row. (Notice the
little status message under the icon says "1x2".)
Experiment with the other options to view more than 2
pages at once.
