Try this:

1. In Windows Explorer, customize a folder just the way you want it.

2. Click Tools, Folder Options.

3. On the View tab, click Apply to All Folders.

Best, Jerry

Is there a way to globally set XP to display files in detail mode by
default instead of having to change the view for each directory?

Thanks
