Videos won't play!

I'm stumped. Videos won't play in Media Player. Sounds on the video play, and
the progress bar moves, but no video. This had been a sporadic problem, in
that every other video would play. Now none do. Videos do not play in Real
Player either.

Ideas? I've looked extensively and found no reference to this problem. I
suspected video function may have been hampered by a virus, but have run
multiple cleanup apps and system is clean. Reloaded various versions of Media
Player multiple times. No luck.

This is a Dell laptop running XP. Please help! Thx...

try re-installing the required codec
probably DIVX or Xvid
