Am building a basic computer for my girlfriend. Low level Pentium, 1 gig
ram. Nothing special. Am I better off adding ram and letting the integrated
motherboard video run the video, or should I install a separate video card?
Not sure if there is an advantage one way or the other. she does not do
gaming, but does like to use photoshop elements.

If you are set on the mainboard, why not just find out?

You might get all the info you want here, but IMO users in a
photoshop group know best about system requirements.

Good luck and have fun.

I would DEFINITELY get a separate video card to take the extra load off both
the CPU and the system RAM. It will speed up the system overall.
