Video Player Gone

I can't watch any videos on my homepage(MSN) or any webpage for that matter.
I keep getting a prompt for needing Flash Player which I have done but every
time I download it, it says its downloaded but nothing work. I've gotten a
window come up saying that the player can't locate some kind of directory.
Anyone have any ideas as to how to correct this?

I have a reboot disk................if I use it to reboot XP will I loose
everything including my email set up with outlook express

Whoa! Slow down.
Normally a "reboot disk" would be an OEM setup disk, or maybe
you mean an XP disk, whatever - you only use them when the OS
cannot load during boot.
Your problem is with macromedia flash, they have a site with an
excellent knowledge base and problem solving.
You have received an on-screen error message "can't locate some
kind of directory" - The exact wording of that specific error message
is the clue to solving the problem - but you haven't posted the
exact wording of the error message?
