Video opening in webpage, not in player

[Video Help Sought]

Recently any video files I try to open are opened
directly inside a browser page, and not externally in the
Windows Media Player. This happened after I downloaded
the quicktime plugin. I believe the download must have
changed my default settings. Any ideas on how to restore
video files opening in the player...and not directly
imbedded in my browser page?

Open wmp,tools,options,file types tab,select all,back-
out,restart computer.
