anyone know of a reason that certain software, like
Microsoft Plus! for XP doesnt realize that I do have a
video card with 16 MB memory on it?

When I try to install certain features, like the games,
it gives me an error saying I need at least 16 MB of
video memory.

Thank you for any help

I can't think of a reason, unless the card is far too old to be correctly
recognized by XP.

You might want to think about something a little newer with more memory.....
16mb is not very much these days.

There are plenty of cheapo 64mb AGP cards that can be obtained for
$30-40.... sure they're not the best or fastest out there, but they're
better than any card with 16mb.

Thank you

So..

Does anyone know why a video card's memory is not recognized as sufficient to certain software but not all?
