Hello,
I have a Dell 600 and I'm facing a very strange issue.
I've been using this laptop for a year now without any problem. But recently
it started showing strange artifact on screen. Basically sometimes I boot my
laptop and instead of having a nice 'boot' screen black and white I've got
something that look like a 'Matrix' screen, i.e. a few characters and lines.
I can go through the boot process and usually login prompt for example will
start being displayed corrctly and then I log in and I still have weird lines
or blurring effect appearing but I can most of the times see windows being
displayed correclty.
However sometimes it is completely unreadable and i have to put the laptop
in stand-by and power it up again a few times before the screen becomes
readable again.
I know it sounds weird and my first impression was that it was a hardware
issue. However I simply moved my hard drive to naother identical DELL laptop
and it is showing the same issue. If I swap har drives then the problem
dissapears. So i'm thinking now that maybe it is something to do with
Windows...
Any idea?
Thanks
