Video file broken after download

P

This problem has sometimes occured with video files - all the
problematic ones have been of the WMV format, I think. This has only
been a problem when downloading video files, nothing else.

When trying to download a video file, the download supposedly
completes instantly, as if the file was very tiny, or goes on until it
aborts but the web browser gives me the idea that the download is
successfully finished. When trying to play the file, Windows complains
that the file is broken. This has happened with both Microsoft
Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. I have been able to
successfully download the same files on different occasions. It seems
to be completely coincidental whether the problem occurs or not.

What exactly is the problem and how to solve it?

==============
Some files on the net are corrupted...
nothing you can do about that. Aside
from that...it could be an overtaxed
server...just try downloading the files
at a different time of day.
