video error - %1 is not a valid win32 application

My video files do'nt open and I get this error %1 is not a valid win32
application.
please help.

From your description - it is my guess that if you opened the video player
first, then from within said video player application, chose to open said
video file... it would work...

If that turns out to be true - it is the file association/shortcut to open
that is messed up.
