Video Creation Software

For extra credit at school, my cousin can do a brief video presentation using
the computer.

I have a webcam/pc camara (kinda old but works fine - from Intel) but I
don't have any software that went with it and intel doesn't update this
webcam anymore.

I know how to send "video e-mail" and a few other things. But I just want
to save video, using the web cam, as some sort of file. And I cannot seem to
find any programs on my computer. I don't need it for internet use or email
or anything else, just for him to sit in front of it and "record" his speech
with video.

Does anyone know of any simple software or downloads that would accomplish
this? Or is there something on my computer that I'm not aware. Just in
case, I use Windows Prof. and have Office XP. If that helps.
