Video clips

All of a sudden when I import my videos whether mpeg or
avi, the picture shows up but when I click on them to
play the picture goes away and nothing happens. I can
play them on quick time and microsoft. It was working
before.
 
Have you recently installed "quicktime" or something else...since it used to
work?
