video card issue

Im still having issues with my video card. Its a evga gforce fx 5700Le. I
have a amd sempron 2800+ running at 2ghz 1024mb ddr ram. Im also running rc1.
I am using nvidia drivers 78 and everything is running smooth but i still
cannot run aero. The card and system are well capable or running it. I just
dont get the options. Also when i run the performance test i get a 1.9 and
1.0 on the visual ratings. Ive read somewhere else on these boards where i
should be getting 3s on these. Anybody have any ideas on what i need to do?
Different drivers? the 86 version dont seem to work with my system. The
screen just stays black usually.

Do you have the WDDM driver for the card? It takes a card and a driver that
support Glass.

Thanks for the quick reply. No I do not. I located some and downloaded them
and installed but it says they are for cards with video in features which
mine is not so i dont think they are the right ones and when i tried to
update driver with them it doesnt install them. I dont have to have aero but
would like to at least try it since im capable. Any chance you could point me
to the correct drivers that are wddm from nvidias driver archive? Not that im
not trying myself i could just use some help.

i thought vista support on nvidia cards started around the 93.xx drivers?

go grab the latest from the nvidia site - possibly BETA section if not
avail in the main download area.

You're running Windows Vista RC1 yes?

32bit or 64 bit?

Yes i am on RC1, i wasnt lucky enough to get rc2. I am on the 32 bit
version. As to where i have been searching.. uh nvidias main site. You can
acess a archive of all their drivers they have released over time. I just
need to find which one is wddm capable for my specific card. Version 80
something that came out for vista beta makes me screen stay black on boot up
with a small row of scrambled color across the bottom. Thought might have
been bad download so tried again with same result. Version 90 something of
the drivers i believe are for rc2 and up only. So i have not tried those.
Also anytime i install drivers i get pop ups saying these drivers are not
signed install yes or no? something to that extent.
