Video capture with IEEE1394

I am unable to get my computer to find my Digital 8 video
camera.I have XP professional and my camera is a Sony
Digital with IEEE1394.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here with Sony TRV340 dig8 camcorder with
both XP Home & Professional, seems XP doesn't recognize
certain Sony cameras . doesn't even show up in list of
cameras to add .. works fine with USB to download pics
w/included software. Some help would be greatly
appreciated using to stream/webcam with Sony camcorder.
