Viata Mail Typing Problems

I have Vista Ultimate on a HP laptop notebook. When I type the cursor and
typing jumps all over the page. This happens when I'm composing a new
message or replying to a message sent to me. Also sometimes when I'm typing
the message will disappear in mid typing and minimize to the bottom of the
screen. It's very frustrating.
Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

Did you ever get an answer to your question. The same thing is happening to
me. i just got the notebook the other day and am not sure what to do. Thanks

Keep your hand and fingers off the Touchpad.
