vhs video stabilizer

Hello everybody! Some electronic shops sell a "video stabilizer" that is an
hardware to remove the macrovision copy protection. I am not interested in
this, but i ask myself it this is useful to really stabilize the signal, for
example with old-damaged vhs, like a TBC. I have a radeon vivo and when i
acquire i lost some frames because they are bad. Has anyone this device?
What
about its stabilizing features with normal (not protected) vhs ?

Yes they are useful to stabilize old tapes when converting to DVD your old
VHS recordings etc.. They can also improve sharpness, brightness and
contrast etc, prior to feeding the video to the input source. I have used
one for years. Ive never used to it macro at all.....
 
Thanks. Can you tell me how much did you pay it ? Did you buy it by
internet? What model is it ?
