I want to convert my VHS home videos to DVDs. I am not sure how to do this,
and I don't think i have the required connections (wires or cords..) to do it
either. Could you help me out? Thanks

Kelly, you have come to the right place, I think. I am trying to help my
father-in-law do the same thing -- and Movie Maker looks to be a nice way to
do some simple editing of your VHS movies.

I think about the only thing you really need now is a video capture card --
unfortunately, I can't recommend one because I am looking for the same
information -- and am hoping some of the other people on this forum can
recommend some good ones.

Walmart has a device called DVD Xpress that will help you in this matter. It
costs about $78. It is a USB device. It comes with cables and software. Hope
this helps.

Look at the new SONY VRDVC10 and follow-on products. It is a USB connnect
vidcap and DVD burner, but it also has an "unattended operation " mode that
will convert VHS to a DVD without computer.

Check SONY web page for product info.
