VGA mode

Every time I try to uninstal my old video driver, I'm told that I have to be in VGA mode to do so. How do I do that?

I have the same problem, I was told that all you have to
do is uninstall the drivers and set them to standard VGA,
but when you restart winXP if loads the drivers for the
video card agian and will not let me switch to sVGA. HOW
DO YOU DO THIS!!!!!

Reboot in to safe mode. That uses the standard VGA drivers...
