Very Slow Publishing

Jack

I just upgraded to FP 2003 and I cannot believe what is
going on.

The publishing speed has dropped tremendously. I have a
cable connection and WinXP Home. What took minutes in FP
2002 to publish now takes hours!

I tried to publish a folder which has photos and is 2.45
mb. The status bar said that the estimated time was to be
1 hour. It started to publish, but then there were very
long periods of inactivity. I could see this in the
connection icon in the task bar. I finally gave up. I
uploaded the folder using WS_FTP in 1 minute.

Just for a test I tried to publish the whole site but it
told me 14 hours. What is going on?? Has anyone else
had this same problem? Why such a huge drop in
publishing performance from FP 2002 to FP 2003?

Well, I can only say that with FP2003, my publishing time is even faster.
