Very Slow paste to emial in Outlook 2003

If I highlight and copy something from IE 8.0 then go to Outlook 2003, open a
new email and paste, it takes nearly 30 seconds before the paste happens.
I've been doing this same thing for a number of years and only lately has
this delay happened. I can do the same copy but paste to Word 2003 and it
happens almost instantly. So far I've run all kinds of virus and spyware
checks without avail. Just yesterday I reinstalled WinXP (quick format) then
Office 2003 and I still have the same problem. I'd appreciate any help
anyone could give me on this.

Yeah ... I'm seeing the same from IE7 ... bizarre.
