Very Slow IE6 Processing

It appears that my IE6 has recently had a significant slow down in its
processing speed. Going from Web page to Web page, printing from Web sites,
etc.

Is there some way for me to determine if I have a virus or unnecessay
programs running. According to Norton my system is clean. My task manager
indicates a system idle process CPU at 99. How can I determine which files I
actually need / want at start up from msconfig?

you might want
to run "spybot"

if you do, disable
your antiviral temporarily.

Have you tried a system restore to before the problem started?

For malware, do you run other non viral anti-malware apps, or just Norton
AV? If just an AV, you need to run several other non viral anti--malware
apps. See these links. Do the malware cleaning first, then if there still
is a problem try system restore.
