Very OT: Command line archiving (i.e., WinRAR)?

Hi, gang! Having trouble with this. Asking for help from anyone that
has successfully used command line to zip up a folder's contents, in
this case, using RAR.EXE that comes with WinRAR <g>.

I've been able to get this to work in Windows RUN:

C:\PROGRA~1\ZIP\WINRAR~1.00B\RAR.EXE a
"D:\0-PROG~1\0-ZIPP~1.2(F\BACKUP~2\Backup- .zip"
C:\PROGRA~1\DIARY\DIARYV~1.2\DATA\*.*

(It backs up my journal program files.)

Only problem is that I get a folder structure in the zip file whereas
I need _just_ the files themselves archived.

Anyone know how to get just the files themselves archived, pls?

Thank so much. Appreciate any help.

Actually, all you have are the files, it is just *showing* you the folder
structure. Handy, IMO, but since you don't want it...
1. Change it to zip mode
2. See info re: l[t] switch in rar.txt (it's in the WinRar folder)

You're welcome.

The lb command only lists the archive contents without path information,
I think the OP was looking for the -ep? switches, also documented in
rar.txt, that control whether path info is included in the archive to
begin with.
