Very odd User Event error with DNS?

This is very strange.. I have never seen this happen
before but it is causing all of my internet related
applications to just crash intermittenly without any cause
that I can seem to find.

This is what shows up in the userevnt.log file:

USERENV(4ac.4a8) 06:07:26:203 MyGetDomainDNSName:
MyGetUserName failed for dns domain name with 1355

USERENV(4ac.4a8) 06:07:26:954 CheckUserInMachineForest:
MyGetDomainName failed with 1355.

USERENV(4ac.4a8) 06:07:27:034 CheckXForestLogon :
CheckUserInMachineForest failed with 1355

USERENV(bc.a4) 14:55:43:481 MyRegUnLoadKey: Hive unload
for S-1-5-21-2095845216-975523825-311576647-1115 failed
due to open registry key. Windows will try unloading the
registry hive once a second for the next 60 seconds (max).

USERENV(bc.a4) 14:56:41:505 MyRegUnLoadKey: The registry
hive was successfully unloaded after 57 seconds.

USERENV(bc.a4) 06:00:53:463 GetUserGuid: Failed to get
user guid with 1355.

USERENV(bc.a4) 06:00:54:224 GetUserGuid: Failed to get
user guid with 1355.

Has anyone seen something like this before? I attempted
to search on the support site.. but cant seem to find
anything.

Kind of guess here since your domain name is munged and no Event ID #.

Can you post your actual AD name, the actual Event ID #, and an unedited
ipconfig /all from the DC/DNS (assuming they're on the same machine).

A couple of things can cause this, assuming it's an Event ID 1000 error.
Single label AD name can cause it. Not pointing ONLY to your DNS server for
resolution in an AD environment can cause it too. That's why we usually ask
for that info above to better diagnose it.
