I just got a new hard drive and had a system restore done to my computer. I
have Win XP. When I got the computer back the picture is really big. For
example, when I get on the internet, the I have to scroll to the right to see
the whole picture. The pictures are also not clear-disfigured. I don't know
if the two problems are related. I checked the display option of the computer
and it is already set at normal. Any suggestions???

If you have an LCD monitor it's important that the video resolution you
use matches the monitor's native resolution.

An LCD monitor's native resolution is the resolution that the monitor
was designed to display. For example, the native resolution for a
17-inch LCD monitor is typically 1,280 pixels horizontally and 1,024
pixels vertically, which is commonly abbreviated as 1280 X 1024. You can
find your monitor's native resolution in the monitor's user manual.

To check the resolution you are currently using:

Control Panel > Display > Settings tab > Screen resolution.

An LCD monitor will operate at a different resolution, but you won't be
happy with the way it looks.

There could be other reasons your monitor look the way it does, but the
above is most likely to be the cause. Here are some of the other
possibilities:

1- Control Panel > Display > Settings tab > Advanced button > General
tab > DPI setting should be 96 DPI

2- You may be using the VGA driver (with a resolution of 800 X 600)
instead of the correct driver for your video system.
