very faint underlining...?

Howdy,

I run OL 2002...

A few moments ago I typed a plain text message that included
the name "Daniel" (without the quotes).

Beneath that word I saw a very faint series of dots (almost
a faint underlining.)

Other proper names that I tried do not cause it to happen.

In addition, I saw that it appears only when I complete the
word and follow it with a space.

What is this line of dots?

Hi Again,

As I prepared to check as you suggested, I saw (for the
first time) the small square icon indicating that the name
had a "SmartTag."

So the mystery is resolved, and I thank you,
