Hi-

On my old operating system (2000) a "safely Remove
Hardware" icon appeared in the taskbar, for when I needed
to unplug any devices, such as my USB hub. I now run
Windows XP Professional, but I can't find the "safely
remove hardware" icon anywhere. It's not even an option
in the customize notification menu of the taskbar
properties. I still need to frequently plug and unplug
USB devices...does this no longer exist? If it does, how
do I access it? Or am I an idiot? (Don't answer that
please.)

Thanks!

Go out and buy a 4 port USB card.. return home and install the new card into
your machine.. now plug all devices into the USB slots available to you..

It's in your system tray (where the clock is) in XP. If you have 'show tool
tips' enabled you will recognize it when you run the mouse over it.
