Vertical Split Form / Menu

I'd like to create a form that is split vertically, with menu items that
appear at the left and their corresponding forms or report previews to appear
on the right (something similar to MS Outlook or the Navigation Pane in
Access 2007)

I intend to use this form to load and maximise at startup.

From my web design days it was done with frames and was relatively straight
forward, however I'm not certain of the correct terminology to use here.

If it's possible to do this in Access, any pointers in the right direction
would be great.

Thanks

You should be able to do something like that using a couple of subforms on a
parent form.

The left-hand subform would be your menu.

You can change which form is displayed in the right-hand subform by changing
the SourceObject property of the subform control.

Thankyou Douglas. Not only have you solved the problem, your solution was
easy to implement.

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for your assistance with this earlier query.

Is it possible to use the same style approach but have a print preview of a
report displayed in the subform?

I don't believe it's possible. The window that appears for Print Preview
isn't an Access form, so it can't be used as a subform.
