vertical scroll bar scale

the scroll bar scale on my worksheet is screwed up. the worksheet is about
1300 lines and the scroll bar travels about a quarter inch to traverse all of
it, rendering moving around very difficult. i have tried to define the last
cell, and tried deleting rows below my data, all the way to the end. nothing
seems to work. any thoughts?

Hi,

This happens because there is some formatting in the rows after the last row
which has data. Once again, go to one row below the last row and press
Ctrl+Shift+Down arrow (this will select till the last rows on the worksheet.
Now delete all these rows. Do the same for columns as well. Now save the
file.

Does it wok now?

Ashish is right. You can hit Ctrl+end and go to the end of the used range.
If you don't see anything in there, it doesn't mean that there is NOTHING in
those last cells -- there may be some formatting on the cells. Select from
the last cell in the used range, by selecting the letters on the top, go
left, to the last cell with useful data in it, right-click, delete. Do the
same from the bottom up (last used cell in range, select up to the last cell
with useful data, by selecting the numbers on the left, right-click, delete).
Save your changes. Hit Ctrl+end. That should be your last cell with
visible data in it.

HTH,
Ryan--
