vertical line in detail section that extends down to page footer

Based on what i've read i should be able to get a line to extend down to the
detail bottom with the following:
 
Kent, it may be easier to draw the line in the report's Page event.

Use the Line method. Measurements will be in twips, where 1440 twips = 1
inch.
 
yes - thanks. It finally hit me that the detail events are row specific
only - and are not aware of life beyond that.

After that small epiphany I was able to draw lines quite easily from the
report header border to the report footer border.
