version question

Ok, I have been looking across the vast web space and on Microsoft's website
compairing versions... the answer has eluded me...

Which version of Vista has replaced XP professional?

Specifically which version supports Active Directory?

Does Vista Enterprise support Active Directory?
Does Vista Business support active directory?
Does Vista Home Premium support active directory?

I know the home editions of XP does not support Active Directory and
"domain" administration as XP pro did... I guess that this is what makes
the Vista Business edition different than the Vista Home editions am I
correct in that logic...????

I have several sites running SBE Windows 2003 server w/AD and XP Pro as
workstations... now that XP is getting hard to get I am starting to look at
Vista...

Microsofts web site for compariing the versions is full of Hype and don't
really say which version supports AD.. and they have next to none on the
enterprise versions...

maybe i just missed it.somewhere in all the muddy waters of version lake...
thanks

Thank you chad for that enlightend reply....
After comparing all the features on the Ultimate to XP,
I see no reason to leave XP until 2015....
By then we will have Windows 9 service pack 20...
thanks
Should call the next version Windows Pains...version 1
