I've encountered an unhandy feature with the fixed decimal option in the
new 2003 version of excel. With older versions, once the fixed decimal
option under Tools-Options-Edit was checked, one could enter a whole
number by entering the number with a decimal point only -- no following
zeroes were needed. If I wanted to enter the number 25, for example, I
would enter 25 followed by a decimal point. With the new version,
however, I'm having to enter the zeroes also, as in 2500 or 25.00.
This somewhat defeats the utility of this option. Have any others
encountered this glitch with excel 2003?
