Vector Graphics Rendering error

I am running ME. IE says it is 6.0 SP1. I have all IE updates that apply.
Error message says that I need to download and install Vector Graphics
Rendering. When I try, get cannot find necessary components. Checked KB and
found manual install directions. When I try a manual install, cannot find
VGX.CAB on my computer.
Ran regedit.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSetup\InstalledComponents\{10072cec-11d1-986e-00a0955b42f} has following values:
(Default) "Vector Graphics Rendering (VML)"
ComponentID "MSVML"
IsInstalled 01 00 00 00

Did search for vgx.dll. This shows that I have vgx.dll version 6.002800.1411
at the above location.

Is this as simple as changing the version number in the reg key or will I
need to reinstall IE 6.0SP1 and all its updates.?

Fixed it. Downloaded IE6SP1.exe, started program, selected custom install,
selected only Virtual Graphics Rendering, installed. RegKey now shows version
as 6.0.2800.1411. Checked using new "Maps and Directions" on msn.com. It
works.
