VBA Help versions for Access

D

Dick B

Two installations of Office 200/Access 2000
In Access/ go to VBA Help/
keyword "lock" topic "add new method"

Double click on topic - on one computer, detail page
comes up, not on the other one

Look at Help, About - two different versions:
Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 (doesn't work)
(c) 1987-1999
Version 8714
Retail 6.0.8714

Microsoft Visual Basic 6.3 (works)
(c) 1987-2001
Version 9108
Retail 6.3.8863

VB 6.0 installed on both
Visual Studio SP-5 installed on both

Where did "newer" version of help file come from?
What is the file name/location?
Can that file simply be copied over to the other
computer?

Thanks, Dick

Don't know about your VB but VBA Help 6.3.xxxx is for VBA in Office XP
rather than Office 2K.

The Help index is awful. I normally use the Help button inbuilt in the
Object Browser to get to the correct Help topic.
