VBA Code to Calculate Monthly Interest

Hi!

I am extremely new to the world of EXCEL programming and wanted to run
something by you guys to see if this is possible or not. I am working
with EXCEL 2002.

I have a spreadsheet that calculates our client's PREMIUM OWING.
Interest Calculations on the PREMIUM OWING begin August 1st. Interest
is calculated at the beginning of the month for the previous month.
Here is a sample of the data as it is now.

Contract Certificate # Balance Owing Sept Interest Due
416 22057-1 $ (100.00) ?
517 20579-1 $ (50.00) ?

To calculate the interest owing for the month of August. The Time
Period for the Interest Calculation is Start Date: 08/01/2005 and End
Date: 08/31/2005 (31 days).

I need to only calculate the interest for those Clients who owe money
(have a value in balance owing). I want it to look thru all of the
records on the worksheet that have a balance owing - calculate the
interest (at 18%) based on this formula:

Method used to calculate interest:
= Balance Owing x (days/360) x 18%

I want the interest to be calculated on Sept 1st. I want to store the
result as values so that the interest owing for the month of Septmeber
can be used in summations required for reporting.

I am not sure if I have provided enough information or not. If you
need to know more, please let me know.

I would appreciate anyone's help with this matter! Thanks for your
