VBA and VB.NET?

M

Marco Simone

Hi,

I am learning Access and VBA. I have read that VBA is similar in code with
Visual Basic.
Is VBA for MS OFFICE going to be based on VB.NET, since VB.NET is new
language and probably better then Visual Basic? I am asking because I don't
know what is better: learn VBA which is similar in code with Visual Basic or
start with VB.NET. I am not trying to become programmer, just to learn
little of programming and use in job.

Thanks in advance, Marco

While I'm sure that at some point Office will start using .Net, the version
of Office that was just released (Office 2003) still uses VBA, and, as far
as I'm aware, the next version will too.
