VBA access and Vista

Our new computer uses Vista Business and are trying to run the same program
that runs perfectly well on XP for our nonprofit database. This is an
application developed using VBA in Access 2000 by a programmer who has not
used Vista before.

We get the following errors when running lists:

Error 3075: Function is not available in expressions in query expression....

and also occasionally:

Error 2447: there is an invalid use of the . (dot) or ! operator or invalid
parentheses.

Programmer believes that there is a Microsoft dll that can't register during
installation. Are there any dlls that are not compatible with Vista? Can you
point us in the right direction to be able to run this application under
Vista?

Thanks
Ed
