Maileen,

That is hard to find, you see seldom professional vendors tell their
development tools.
I'm asking that because i would like to know if VB is a good development
platform for professional application. as goodas VC is.
In my opinion is that not so,

The program languages for .Net (from which VB is one) are in my opinion a
step more to the future, which makes things possible which where almost
impossible to do in VC without very large teams.

Just my opinion

Hi Maileen,

VB (assuming that you refer to VB6) and VB.NET are very different languages.
VB has many lacks (OOP) and inconsistencies but it was a language that
allowed to develop Windows applications very easily, and therefore was used
extensively in the corporate world and also for commercial products, not
from Microsoft but from other 3rd party vendors (accounting applications,
utilities, etc). Depending on your app, Visual C++ can be or not a better
alternative.

VB.NET is a modern fully OOP language, and it is one of the most used
languages along with C# to develop .NET applications. Many software
applications will be .NET based in the future, and, yes, you can consider it
as a real alternative to Visual C++ for any kind of application (apart from
low level stuff like drivers, etc.)

Just my opinion.
