vb error re: forms while opening access 2003

Hi....I have a problem when opening Access 2003, the vb error on all 3
of my forms (yes, just 3 forms total) comes up...I've checked for
missing references-there are none listed as "MISSING" --I'm at my wits
end, don't want to create another db and can't seem to get any further
with this. My worry is that the db was created in Access 2003 directly
from Access 2000, and that I'm missing something VERY simple. The
Access 2000 db and forms had no problem whatsoever in opening. Any
ideas? Thanks...Matt

If none have "MISSING:", select an additional reference at random, back out
of the dialog, then go back in and unselect the reference you just added. If
that doesn't solve the problem, try to unselect as many of the selected
references as you can (Access may not let you unselect them all), back out
of the dialog, then go back in and reselect the references you just
unselected. (NOTE: write down what the references are before you delete
them, because they'll be in a different order when you go back in)

Tried that, "save operation failed" seems it won't keep?? When I
deselect (2 of 4 allowed) the save op fails, so effectively, I cannot
exit the program to see if the forms load correctly on reopening Access

I didn't say anything about restarting Access.

At what point do you get the "save operation failed" message: backing out of
the References dialog, or when you try to close the database?

I realize you said you don't want to create a new database, but creating a
new database and importing all of the objects from the old one is usually an
effective solution.

additionally, there is no way to view the vb code....this can be done
with last year's db (created in Access 2002)....so I cannot debug. I've
tried to "view code" but I'm getting the message no vb module
available.

I only get the error when Access is opened. That's why I reopened the
program.

Doug, thanks for your tips....I don't wanna waste your time....you see,
my boss created the db and I'm supposed to troubleshoot. additionally
the trouble is that I don't know jack about Access, I just found out
that it's access 2002 we are running....let me get up to speed here...I
